The church was closed when we were visiting Turaida castle. But from outside this church is very original. Similar I have seen in Scandinavia

...with the difference of a very nice location and it is wooden. The interior is rather spartan, like all Lutheran churches. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it, but as I was passing, I popped in.

The exterior wooden boards painting in red color is surely eye catching. Interior however is all in white, which is simple and plain. There wasn't much information to display as well, so we didn't stay long. It's good to visit it anyway.

It beautiful and nice, small church. Maybe it is better if you visit it together with a tourist guide, because it has some small exhibition, but you won't find too much information in it.

Dropped in here on our castle visit. Beautifully decorated in a very simple style. The Guide was dressed in traditional costume which added to the atmosphere. Do not walk past this one!
