About
In the museum, amber is presented in an artistic manner and scientific knowledge about it is presented through the interactive tools. The main concept of the museum is the amber trees forest and a river. A flowing river, being the main direction of the museum’s concept, represents the amber road from nature to culture. The uniqueness of the exhibition is granted by a rich collection of rare amber and art works, which is complemented by a virtual story about the formation of amber. Specially equipped screens show a 3D film about the formation of amber about 40-50 million years ago. The formation of the Curonian Spit is shown in the internal multimedia bridge. The exposition is integrated with space for practical activities, where one can learn about the physical and therapeutic properties of amber through artistic expressions. Encyclopedia of amber has been created on touch screens. Amber not only from Lithuania, but also from around the world is displayed in the museum space.

Wonderful experience. A very professionally and lovingly created museum about the history of amber from its origin to the present times. Amber finds from all over the world have left a great impression. They also have the biggest piece of Baltic amber in the collection. Highly recommended to visit!

Cozy home of Amber in Nida
Friends recommended me to go there. Now I recommend everyone to visit this interactive and unique museum. Here I learned that energy of amber can be transmitted to body of people, and I was able to test it on me. Also, I heard a very poetic story about the birth of amber, I could hold an impressively large amber in my hand and smell its scent.

    Great experience
A very interesting, modern, interactive museum. In it, you can see an amber exhibition, a shop and an amber workshop. I recommend arriving during the multimedia presentation. I also highly recommend going to the Amber Art Gallery. There you can see how modern artists and jewelers have already applied amber in their works, and you can also see the works of different artists not only from Lithuania, but also from abroad.

Amazing experience! Very well done exhibition, attractive to both adults and younger ones. Impressive collection of amber, appealing story telling, not too long and not too short - just perfect time to learn, listen, touch and ask questions. Thank you!

The multimedia tour is a must. The movie tells ambers' and Neringa's history. Not only visually but one can also smell and feel the amber. There's a large exibition of amber exclusions and beautiful art made out of amber. The museum has a shop with amber jewelry for all tastes. The staff is professional and always helpful. We liked it very much

On a trip to the beautiful village of Nida, on the Curonian Spit a must visit is the Mizgirių Gintaro Muziejus (Mizgiris Amber Museum & Gallery).

We received a very warm welcome to this beautiful little gem of an attraction.

The museum has a wonderful, immersive tour about the formation of amber and the history of the Spit. Amazing examples and displays of beautiful pieces of amber and amber jewellery and ornament. Well presented information was easy to understand about the colours, collection and stories of amber. We were given a headpiece to follow in English as the presentation was in Lithuanian.

We highly recommend this museum if you are on the Spit. Their gallery shop contains wonderful amber jewellery of all colours and all is certified real amber. The staff working throughout the museum were open and friendly and are obviously working hard to make the museum as good an experience as possible by listening to visitors and sharing their plans to improve the museum and its exhibits.

Stop by. You won’t be disappointed, we weren’t! (And treat yourself to a little bit of locally handmade jewellery!)

Excellent innovative experience with unique amber artefacts and engaging audiovisual storytelling. Don’t miss the guided experience available in multiple languages. The museum shop has artisan amber jewellery that comes with a certificate of authenticity. Not to be missed if you’re visiting Nida!

Loved the little movies, they really helped understand the making of amber. It is very helpfull that after the movies the exibits light up so we know where to look. The interactive part is the best for children or teenagers to understand better. Also great that they have headphones for non-lithuanian speakers. It helped get the full experience for everyone: Adults, children, teenagers and non-lithuanian speakers.
