If you have time and the weather is fine, spend your day in Trakai. The castle itself is not that impressive but the surrounding lake and woods look amazing in October. You can rent a boat or have a cruise around the island. There, you...More

We visited this beautifully restored castle shortly before closing on a chilly day. The water walk to the castle revealed crystal clear lake water. The castle has many interesting artifacts dating from a few centuries go to more current. A very interesting find.

Trakai Castle is quite impressive from the outside, the museum inside is a little disappointing, the workers who work there are very misty. There are plenty of cafes beside the castle where you can taste kibinai.

Great museum to visit. The museum shows us how life was in the medieval times. There was a great selection of artifacts exhibited throughout the castle's rooms. Everything was recreated to take you back in time.
