The Czech call them ponds (not lakes) because they are artificially made. And they are beautiful. There is a lovely pathway to walk around too.

Great wild (but not so much) nature and relaxing places. One of the bebst reasons to visit the town Trebon.

There are many carp lakes around town of Trebon, all of them (well, 98 %) build in 16th century. So they are man made. We call them fishponds, lake sounds natural and they are not. The largest one is named "Rozmberk" after landowners "Rozmberks" (Rosenburgs)....More
