Those are impressive caves. And by impressive, I mean IMPRESSIVE (with capitals and everything). The cave system is really worth the time (see the tons of photos), but think of it more like as a 2-part concerto, with the cave system only the beginning, and...More

UNESCO protected area with one of the most beautiful caves in the world. Not far away from highway when driving from Ljubljana to Adriatic coast. Amazing excellent and recomended.

I strongly reccomend to visit those caves, especially during spring time when the water level is high. It is an unique experience

Skocjan caves, a bit less touristy than its sister, the Postojna caves, was a true gem! Barbara, our tour guide, was excellent! Speaks so many different languages too. Quite impressive! We had a great time and definitely recommend it!

This place is well worth the visit. Tickets can be purchased at the visitor centre next to the free car park. The car park is not that big, but there were works going on so I hope they are actually making it bigger. You can...More

This is my favourite cave of all. No picture are allowed to taken inside. But what you seen with your eyes is truely not to be forgotten. The gushing waterfall inside, the miniminum lights along the pathway you walk stretching out makes the whole cave...More

We caught the last cave tour (#1) of the day, not many people, and free parking! This is a not-to-be-missed experience! We wanted to also go on the river tour (#2) but were too late for that. The cave will not disappoint. Paths thru the...More

There are 2 separate caves here. The first cave is the silent cave, which is your regular run of the mill variety cave. The second cave has the Reka River running thru it. Tours are run every hour and involve a little over 3k walking...More

A well organised tour through a spectacular cave system. I've been to many caves around the world but this tour provided much more. It was well explained and the guide was very enthusiastic and helpful. There is a river running through the cave and the...More

I have seen Karst caves in China so I wasn't sure how this would compare. The first section on the tour is referred to as the "silent" cave. There are a lot of steps and upon entering you go through a low ceiling. My tour...More

We are visiting the Skocjan Caves the day after a tour ends. We have a driver picking us up at our Lake Bled hotel and we will spend the day going to the Lipica stud farm, then the Skocjan caves, then to Split where we will stay. Should we buy tickets for the Caves before we go? Can we do that? We don't want to spend a long time in line! If we can buy tickets online, I couldn't find it on the website. Thank you! Our schedule--Hopefully it is do-able: 07:45 AM: Departure from Bled 10:00 Lipica stud farm 11:45 - 12:00 Departure to Skocjan caves park 15:00 Departure from Skocjan Caves to Split

Didn't find any online sales. Probably tour agents will sell those in advance. However, it's ok to just go there and buy tickets, the amount of participants in a tour is not limited. Easily 200 persons may enter at the same... More
