There is a lot of walking and stairs to visit this cave, so would not be recommended for mobility challenged people. Also if you are afraid of heights, this could prove challenging for you, as well. It is cold in the cave – I had on a long-sleeved shirt and fleece, and eventually put on gloves and a windbreaker, too.... More

Definitely worth visiting. Never seen a river like this running through a cave of this size. Get like the scene in an adventure movie. The history of the early explorers in the cave is also really interesting. No photos inside.

We came there accidentally, but we didn't regret. Very interesting karst landscape. The caves, canyon, underground river, enormous chambers, old paths which are not used anymore ... WOW. Have you seen the film The Lord of the Rings, when the fellowship pass trough Moria? Well, that was the feeling. We expected nothing when we came there, but we left the... More

This system of caves is an absolute thrill to see. If you are terrified of heights, you may be challenged by the steel-mesh walkways that suspend you above the roaring river that gushes underneath ... but if you're only mildly terrified, you'll get over it. The site is mind-numbing, as is the roar itself. You will never forget this site,... More

This was probably the nice cave system I have ever seen! Just beautiful. Sadly you cant take pictures in the cave and so the ones I have dont do the trip justice. The tour guide was a nice young lady that explained everything in the caves in both Slovenian and English. She was very personable, knowledgeable and made the tour... More

The cave tour was one of the highlights of our time in Slovenia. It was just absolutely breathtaking. We went on February on a weekday, so they had a 10am and a 1pm tour. Since it was off-season, the information that I could find online were quite unhelpful. I read that there would be a shuttle bus from Divaca station... More

This was a fantastic tour of this enormous cave that has a river running through it. Recommend you take the combined tour option to see the underground part and the 'new' part. They are each 1.5 hours long so you choose the first time and then get assigned the second time. We had 10 am and 2 pm so hiked... More

We were slightly hesitant about going as we had both seen the inside of plenty of caves (that sounds odd!), but believe me when I say that these caves are breathtaking! Eye boggling even. The scale and beauty is something that really is awe inspiring. The only thing that for me was a let down was the speed that we... More

The caves are wonderful, if you happen to go on a cold day after some rain, which luckily happened to us. We weren't allowed to take pictures but no smartphone would be capable of capturing the atmosphere anyways. Go see for yourself! Our guide gave her best. I think she was a little shy regarding her English, so she sounded... More

This place was recommended to us by the local contacts as being more pristine than the more popular Jama caves. It was certainly worth the visit. I was travelling with two young children who enjoyed it very much as well. There was a large group coming for the tour but fortunately the group split into two (Italian group - the... More
