Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely garden with interesting information boards.
Excellent interpretation rooms with information about the karst landscape.
Wonderful, fabulous, friendly gardeners, who greeted us cheerfully, and when it started to rain led us through a shortcut to our car and lent us umbrellas. When the head gardener realised we were going into town to eat, she let us keep the umbrellas, and when we bumped into the other gardeners on year lunchtime, they offered to take them back to the garden.
All the Slovenian people that we met were really friendly, and this group were the tops.

Nice garden, don't aspect much, it's just trees, grass and some flower. If you are around Sezana and you are bored it's fine to visit.

Really nice botanical park with the plant from all over the world. Some of them are typical for this part, others plants are colected botanical house. Here you could take a rest from hot summer walking around the Sežana. There is no enterance fee. If you like you could take a guidedn tour around the garden. About that ask in TIC Sežana which near by. Enjoy like we did.

Seek some shade here in the summer and learn more about the region and plants. It's free and totally not busy. Might be because it's still a bit undiscovered :)

Absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate to meet one of the greenhouse staff and she gave us an incredible personal tour. Makes for a great visit after lunch or after morning espresso.

Behind the huge white building of local commune or directly from the main road are two entrances to interesting local garden. Each year it has something new and they keep the old trees and French part of the garden. Huge cedars, some old mulberry trees, an old glass house with cactuses, some exotic plants, a small museum at the back. Near the main entrance is local tourist office and you can find any information there. No entrance fee.

You can easily miss this attraction. Exit from highway and drive slowly to Sežana. Park just behind new modern building “Občina”. An interesting park without entrance fee is just behind the modern architecture (some steps). You will find some interesting old trees, an old glasshouse, a part with cut hedge, an average fountain. It is not Versailles but it can be compared with any smaller garden around Trieste and is the best on Carst. You can proceed to Štanjel (Ferrari garden). Usually there are no tourists and you will walk alone from one side to the other in less than an hour.
