Came here Sept. 26/17, in the late afternoon and we waited for about half hour while our driver went to prepare to have us put into the group we would be in. Finally we had gone through a door and a hallway and into the...More

This was my first trip to a salt mine. The geological and historical aspects of this tour are excellent! Miles and miles of shafts, sculptures, and exhibits to explore. Cool, well lit, and clean. The big chapel is the highlight of the tour. There is...More

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Salt Mine with my coach tour group. Our guide was excellent and gave much information to understand this unique spot on the planet. We took the elevator both down and up. If the stairs are daunting to you,...More

I went here on my own whilst on holiday with family who did not think it was worth a visit. I really enjoyed it. Our guide Margaret was very informative and her sense of humour helped make the tour. It cost about 90zl to go...More

In the high season expect to queue for a very long time, even if you have pre-bought a tour ticket. More should be done to give queueing visitors a sense of engagement: Disney, theme parks do this well. No reason why the salt mine management...More

We went on a guided tour of the salt mines, the scenery is breathtaking, you have to walk down 54 flights of stairs to reach the 2nd level of the mine, then further more steps to reach where the hall is, I must admit I...More

Fascinating location with lots to see, truly not something you'd have the opportunity to look at every day. While it may seem intimidating to think about all the stairs you have to walk through to witness it all, the walk down is not constant and...More

This is the best museum tour I have ever been to, it was so much fun to walk around and see the gigantic salt mine.

The walking tour was fun and interesting. There was a group of about 20 of us. It took almost 2 hours and your guide was pretty comical. At the end of the tour you are taken to the restaurant area and the food, although pricey,...More

Honestly I can't answer that. There may well be stairs but it would be quite a climb. I recommend contacting them like mentioned above. The lift is fast and over in a few seconds.

The lift is only for the exit, you take stairs down and the shafts are wide and covered with wood, the caverns are massive. It is one of the first ENESCO sites and is so impressive that I would recommend just go for it... More
