The people in this part of Lithuania have a treasure in their midst and are working to build on a few decades of renovations. The palace and grounds only need a few hours to tour. Gardens are quite nice considering the size of the palace. We planned on more time than was needed.

I didn't expect that Latvian castle could be so beautiful after Sigulda experience. But it is really very good. Café inside has an excellent cook, she prepared amazing fish soup and tuna salad. My companions orders a pink and dish, it was also very nice. Portion are big and vine choice is rather interesting.

Bauska is the home of Rundale Palace and Rundale Palace Museum, two separate TripAdvisor identified attractions. They’re one in the same, but the Museum tour (highly recommended!) includes a visit to the Versailles-like gardens. Hordes of tour groups thronged through these palatial rooms that house untold value of art. The Palace is the brainchild of architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who started... More

Defenitely must to see if you are in Latvia, nice very well preserved manor in baroque style, restauration was made with care you have a feeling that you are not in the museum but that you invited to visit by the manor's owner. Minus is that foreign tour gides must pay the entrance

I came to Rundale Palace as part of a day trip planned by Tour Point (which I have reviewed separately). Rundale is a beautiful palace both inside and out. I spent about two hours here altogether. It was not too busy when I visited, perhaps because September is just beyond the busy summer season and, being on a private tour,... More

We visited here, 4 adults and a 5 year old girl. So many beautiful artefacts and displays to see. The gardens are amazing and we could dress Darya up in period costume to make some stunning photos. Plenty of nice cafes as well to take a break on a very hot day. Would recommend to anyone and would go again.

This beautiful 18th century palace is built in the baroque style with nice gardens. It cost my family of six 40 euro for the extended tour and one camera pass which was only 2 euro. It does not compare favorably to Versailles, or the St. Petersburg palaces of Catherine I or Peterhoff. However, if you are passing through it is... More

Visited Rundale Palace on a coach tour of the Baltic States. Despite being there on a summer Saturday in beautiful weather, it wasn't particularly busy and we often had rooms to ourselves. It's a wonderful building both outside and especially inside. There is an additional charge for taking personal photographs inside but I don't begrudge it in the slightest as... More

Rundales Castle is located 80 km from Riga and close to the Lithuanian border . The castle was built in the first half of the 1700 century with the Saint Petersburg based Italian architect Rastrelli as the main architect . He was also the architect for the Czar's Winter and Summer Palaces . Latvia and Estonia were part of Russia... More
