The house has been left as it was when Anna Ancher died in 1935. It is fascinating to see the old kitchen and bathroom and all the fabulous paintings adorning the walls. Well worth the entrance fee and definitely not to be missed.

Very close to the Skagens Museum. Friendly staff. All handbags have to be put away in lockers. A marvellous insight into the life of Michael Anchers and his wife. Well worth it. Many of the doors have paintings of birds on them.

I'm sad to hear that your companion decided not to visit the museum. We have currently run out of the leaflet in English, and I can only apologize deeply for that. It is very unforntunate.

If you're the least interested in paintings or the life of artists, do go here. The house of Anna and Michael Ancher is crammed with paintings, atmosphere and so many stories.

The museum costs 80 NOR entry and this is quiet a lot. You will see an original house of the 19 century which was owned by a painter family. Beside some original furnitures you will see a lot of paintings from the family members with...More
