Shop is beautifully arranged and it is well worth going in and having a look around. The owners will tell you about their products and let you try some of them.
Products include soaps and creams made with olive oil and herbs and are really lovely on your skin. Local wine made with a secret recipe and gorgeous local honey.
Do go in and have a look.

If you are in the Peloponnese you just HAVE to visit this shop! Apart from the delicious honey wine which Fotini will immediately give you a taste of…that has been revived from ancient tradition by a local bee keeper, Fotini stocks his pure honeys and also the pure, astoundingly delicious wines made by the local wine producer, Monemvasia Winery, which you can try there or at Byron's Wine Vault! My favourites…are the cure-all st. john's wort oil (valsamolado)…cures cuts, bruises, ulcers…you name it! And of course Fotini's homemade beeswax face creams - good bye to those wrinkles around the eyes…or acne…or dry skin…REALLY TRULY! And just to mention those wines…they are a MUST try - so much to choose from and so much history!!!

Being a frequent visitor this summer, I have to say that my hubby and I have fallen in love with the walled village of Monemvasia. It's quaint alleys and extremely photogenic architecture are very memorable. But what we love most is a little shop in the heart of "downtown" that is owned by the lovely Fotini. She handcrafts her creams and soaps using her own olive oil. She makes incredible honey wine that you MUST purchase! (She gives free samples of everything) We loaded up at the end of the season with honey, olive oil soaps, body lotion, white wine and of course Honey Wine!! YUM!! If you go in to meet this lovely lady, you'll have a story to tell and a warmth in your heart. Her name means light and she exudes it!

We bought the most delicious honey here as well as lovely handmade olive oil soap. The beauty products were gorgeous and very tempting too.
A wonderful greeting from the shop owner who gave us lovely service and helped us choose our gifts without being pushy.
Highly recommend.

I simply cannot say enough great things about this place, and the lovely owners who will invite you into their world. It totally made our experience of visiting Monemvasia complete. Not only did they give us free samples of everything including honey wine, sweet vanilla sugar, honey, and olive oil soap, they also invited us back the next day for their olive oil and wine tasting. With warmth and passion, this wonderful couple made us feel completely a part of the Monemvasia family. We learned a lot and it was a completely authentic experience. They are both born and raised in the area, and have incredible local knowledge about their natural products, some of which they produce themselves, some of which they get from local producers. Fotini also hooked us up with a wonderful private tour (we were there in early June, so the regular tours hadn't started yet) by a personal friend of hers who is an archeologist. It was perfect! Fotini is just a lovely soul, and I really look forward to the next time we go to Monemvasia so I can pop in again and stock up on beeswax cream, honey wine and olive oil. And just to say hi!!

When researching for a trip to Monemvasia I came across the Edodimopolio Honey Shop. I was intrigued by the Melitokraso liqueur which is made of honey and all the other local products. After exploring magical Monemvasia Castle, I wanted to make Edodimopolio our first stop. As soon as we walked in the door, I knew we were in for a treat. Tsagari is an amazing woman and her personality shines through when explaining all the wonderful quality local products in this shop. We sat with her tasting the Melitokraso liqueur which is wonderful and my first purchase, the walnut liqueur, the almond cookies, and the loukoumi. Enjoyed seeing all the almond treats, the local wines, home-made soap, local herbs and pastas. We could have bought one of everything but unfortunately there was only so much room in our suitcases! We carefully purchased some special items and she gave me a bottle of 'spoon sweets' which we are keeping for a special occasion. It was so interesting to hear her explain the history of the famous Monemvasia-Malvasia wine that dates back almost five centuries. After 17 years of effort, Monemvasia Winery produced 9829 bottles of Monemvasia-Malvasia 2010, their first bottling!! It was bottled in 2013 after two years of aging. After picture taking and hugs we left this special shop with smiles on our faces after such an interesting experience. Do not go to Monemvasia without visiting this wonderful place.

We visited Fotini's shop during our stay in the Monemvasia castle. She was so sweet and the products in the shop were of great quality and used local products, from Malvasia wines to honey wines and Fotini's own cosmetics brand. All at affordable prices, it was our one-stop shop for souvenirs and gifts!
Thank you to Fotini for taking the time to tell us about the history of all the products as well as for the samples and wine tasting!

If you stay in Monemvasia then this small shop is a "must" visit. It's on main street, next to Enetiko cafe bar. The owner of the shop ( pretty lady with dark long hair) was extremely friendly and introduced us different local tastes. We bought many nature olive soaps and after sun lotions. I can say that the last one we used during our trip already so I guess we must order there again :) You can find Monemvasia wine and special honey wine from there that you cannot get from anywhere else. Greetings from Estonia to the dark haired lady- thank you for the suggestions and all your help. I really recommend this honey shop everybody who visits Monemvasia! :)

The owner enticed us in with walnut ouzo, I am not a fan of the regular stuff but tried it because it was different. It was very good. Then I started looking at all the other products, bought a bunch. Used some ourselves, some were gifts. I wish she had a web site or it was easier to jet over. Well worth the stop.

I was stunned by the beauty of Monemvasia. This little shop was the icing on the cake. It is a gem filled with feel good natural homemade body products and absolutely delicious olive oil from the family farm!!! Amazing. I bought 6 midsize bottles of the olive oil thinking we would give it as souvenir gifts - that is not happening. We kept it all and have the other brands we bought. It simply is very good olive oil - clean and fruity, simple and fresh. Surprisingly - Very good prices too! She also gave me one of her handmade soaps pro bono - can't believe how good it is. Wish I had bought some.
The owner of the shop is so charming and genuine. We did not have a place to stay when we arrived at the Fortress and she quickly put us up in one of her suites at an unbelievably good price - the accommodation was perfect! A two floor, cozy and modern, warm home right in the middle of a Byzantine fortress. Highly recommend visiting this place. Loved it.
