From the outside it looks like the average church: white, pristine, with a bell and a clock. The inside, however, is nothing short of extraordinary. The azulejo and the different chapels make for a great scenery and it is fascinating to see how the light...More

Visited for the first time last night with my parents for a piano recital. The church itself is just stunning, with an impressive entrance and golden (not real!) display in front of you, with cherubs heads all staring out! We visited for a piano recital...More

Certainly the one church to see in Tavira. The entrance is 2 euros, giving access to the museum and the church. The museum is not really a highlight, a few old paintings, some of them with urgent need to be restored. The chuch is much...More

I was extremely shocked at how big this church actually is. The raised alter was fascinating to see and was not expected. It is a lovely gem of a church.
