Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is hard to describe how beautiful the destination of a hike to Zelene pleso is. Pictures cannot describe the grandness of the mountains when you reach them. The Zelene pleso lake is surrounded by amazing High Tatras peaks and is nicely hidden from civilization by a 3 hour hike foot path. However, you can definitely speed that up a bit and be there in 2 h 20 minutes. As for going down - we made it in 1 h 30 minutes but we were rushing a bit. So do not let the 3 h one way hike scare you. Do bring good shoes, though, as the footpath becomes quite "rocky" 30-40 minutes into the hike.

We spent a week in the High Tatras and Zelene Pleso was the nicest place we visited. The hike there took just over two hours and is a relatively gentle uphill climb through stunning scenery. The Chata at the top serves good beer and is a nice place to sit and look at the view of the pleso. The trail and Chata were very busy when we went but this may be because it was a Saturday. On the whole I would highly recommend!

A really easy hike in ggod weather, in all seasons from the parking place by the motorway to the lake, where is a mountain hotel - it's my other review. Go there, eat there, dring there, climb there, ride there. In winter you cn climb a frozen waterfall, or even more.

The route was not easy, but not too complicated, it is also suitable for families with younger kids. The place is magic, truly beautiful. I was not too happy with the food - the selection and service were both very good, but all was too spicy and salty, but of course the chef could have a bad day... still, it is a place you will fall in love with!

A very picturesque place in the mountains. The chalet offers good food (especially the "knedlicki"), it stays just by a very, very green lake. Clean (maybe except for the toilets), nice wooden design, and plenty of opportunities to spend a day out in the mountains. The views around are simply stunning, even if it's raining. It's about 3 hours of rather comfortable walk from the Biela Voda car park (I recommend reaching it early in the morning, not later than 8:30 - 9:00 am in the peak season in order to have some space there as the car park is very small), the walk is not that demanding and leads through a beautiful forest.

perfect little place in a perfect little valley. It would've been better without the crowd, but it seems no one can resist such a natural beauty.

The trip from Chata Plesnivec chalet was wonderful and not so difficult. Between the Biele pleso (White mountain lake) and Zelené pleso (Green mountain lake) the route was harder especially for those who do not like jumping from one stone to another, on the other hand there is only a low degree of incline. The chalet itself offers delicious food, try local "žemľovka" - roll filled with sweet cheese (tvaroh), compoted apricot and topped with whipped cream. This hearty dish will boost your energy so climbing up Svišťovka mountain or Jahňací štít (Lamb pinnacle) won´t be any problem. Before that do not forget to stroll around and take pictures of the lake itself, the scenes are just marvelous.

We took off from Tatranske Matliare and it took us some time, but the trail was nice and it was well worth it. Make sure to visit Velke Biele Pleso as well which is only 30 mins from here

Approximately 2 hours to get there. It was worth to see it. Beautiful view and peaceful place :) for people who hates mountains - not so easy to achieve

S pozdravom Jana
