There are numerous old anchors, coins, ancient items, including the pre-sextant days on ships of the historical era. Interesting to know and hear the narration of what happened and the artifacts found.

I have read quite a lot about the Batavia and the other WA shipwrecks, but I still learned a lot. The building itself is spectacular and the explanations and exhibits on marine archaeology engrossing.

The Batavia timbers are truly amazing. That this piece of the ship survived more than 300 years submerged is a miracle . The many artifacts found at the site are astounding. This is a must see in Fremantle .
