Can't say enough good things about the first-class service from the staff, their selection of lodgings, choice of ferries and the well-maintained Kona Kahuna 29ers. Booking on the net from the U.S., we give high compliments for their timely and detailed communications. The Queen Charlotte Track is a challenging 71k ride plus a couple of side excursions with the consensus... More

My (new!) husband and I rented a double kayak to explore Marlborough Sounds for a day. Our safety and equipment briefing was excellent with the right mix of knowledge and fun. The staff member that helped us was really friendly and professional. An excellent ambassador for the NZ adventure tourism industry. Thanks so much for an outstanding experience.

It was a little harder than anticipated being quite hot for NZ at the time of our 4-Day Guided Classic Walk. Our expert guide was unflappable considering he was surrounded by 12 middle-aged mothers at the height of excitement being away from their normal mundane city/family existence. The accommodation and food were top-notch and the scenery - just unbelievable at... More

With Picton's beautiful roads and trails - no need for a guide. Marty fitted us with bikes, and give us a map, and we were off. 1.5 hours on trails and roads out to Karaka Point (follow the Waikawa bay track, along the spine of the ridge for great views!) Stop for lunch on the way back at Jolly Rogers... More

WG was professional from beginning to the end of our 4 day trek on the Queen Charlotte Track. We were walkers but had never experienced a multi-day trek. All water taxis, accommodations and daily packed lunches were superb as was our young guide, Jazz. She was very knowledgeable on local history, flora and fauna. She also made a first class... More

Me, my partner and another 2 guys recently did a kayaking morning and it was great. Hassle free, perfect simple explanations provided, lots of interesting information provided about the fauna, flora and other stories. Luckily the weather was on our side, and nature too: we saw an immense amount of rays, star fish, fishes, ... Highly recommend Merlin as a... More

My partner made this booking to walk the Queen Charlotte track and from the word go we found WG very helpful and well organized. We arrived in Picton and found their office for our briefing the evening before the walk - a great idea as we could ask questions about what was required on the track. Steve the owner was... More

Exceeded all expectations. The walk, the scenery both amazing. The organisation of accom and water transport made it so easy and such a great experience, we loved every step of it. The accom was fantastic , very luxuriant at end of a day of walking. It was our first glamping experience, normally we are very basic campers, but this was... More

Couldn't fault this - from first reading the web site to starting the booking and through to the end of the walk it was a fantastic experience. Marty was a great guide - knowledgable, friendly, and fun. He included all members of the group and was just a joy to be around. If you want to really enjoy your Queen... More
