Greg did a great job organising everything for us - and we had a spectacular meal at Punga Cove for NYE - 5 star!! The walk was a great experience for us all - unfortunately due to a child breaking a wrist - we were unable to complete the trek this time around. Thanks also to the Coastguard and the... More

We did a day walk (approximately 3.5 hours) from Anikiwa to the lookout above Puroa point. The track was very good and there were exceptional views from the lookout. Make sure you bring plenty of water and food. You can also have a swim at the wharf on you return ( as long as the tide is right). There are... More

Great tramp through a wonderful part of the world. Wilderness Guides are a great company to use. Although it is extremely popular to self guide I chose a guide so I could experience with other like minded people as I was travelling alone. The whole experience was excellent including the lodges at night which were all uniquely different and all... More

Great track and views with food and beverage along the way and options of accommodation. Ideal for a family day trip or to walk the whole track 70km!

We arrived onto the South Island via the Picton Ferry. We drove the super twisty and curvy road for 1.5hrs to reach Portage. Listening to a book on CD helps keep everyone distracted from the nausea that may occur with this drive. At Portage we took a right and drove up to the tramp starting point. We began our tramp... My perfect day , unfortunatly only one day, from ship cove to furneaux lodge. About 15 km walking in a pure beauty. The trail is perfect for all ages, If you are trained thought. Stunning views over the Sound , the path goes thru forests with tall trees, the nature is marvellous. The weather has a great importance when you... More

We did 67.5 km of the 70km track = 42 miles. We did it in 5 days with 4 days of hiking and a day of rest between day 4 and day 5. Our longest day was 15 miles. Our Pace with stops to eat, toilet, and take pictures was 2 miles per hour. The highest point was 1555 feet.... More

I spent 4 days and 3 nights enjoying the track. The views were stunning of both the Queen Charlotte Sound and of the Kenepuru Sound. Don't miss Eatwell's Lookout as it is well worth the puff to get up to the top--360 degree views! 'On a clear day you can see forever!' The track is easy walking under foot but... More

There is a steep climnb up out of Ship's Cove but it is well worth the efforf. The views across the Sounds are simply stunning. Book in advance for the stopovers fill very quickly and it would be a shame to miss such a beautiful walk.
