Nice venue, friendly staff, convenient bus (50A) stop outside. Word of warning for coeliacs/those with a gluten allergy, the cocktails come with a pasta straw so are not safe to drink. On asking, staff were apologetic and replaced the drink immediately, however at the point, the damage was already done. I would therefore recommend checking with the staff beforehand.

I would really recommend that this gets included on the menu/staff ask when people order, as it is an easy solution to the problem and would prevent customers from feeling unwell.

Aside from this issue, my friend and I had a lovely trip to the venue.

My partner and I just visited Wild for some wine tasting and beer and was left with a big disappointment.

From the start the greeter/host seemed miserable and not welcoming in the least bit. We felt as though we were bothering him.

The wine was nice, but all of the beers tasted flat.

The only good part was the woman working at the bar, she was friendly and kind even in their busy state.

Over all we will not be returning or recommending this place

On the day we visited, the cellar (tasting room) was not open. However, we were able to sit in the restaurant and purchase a tasting. I tried their beer flight (6 for $NZ18), and my wife tried the wine (5 for $NZ15). The rotating beer on the tasting flight was a Pilsner which was good, but my favorite beer was the porter. The restaurant itself was beautiful. It was a cloudy, windy day so most doors were closed but all of the many glass windows let us all enjoy the views. We saw a couple groups doing archery and skeet shooting on the grounds.

Two hungry individuals and the wild it was
Really tasty burger and chips for myself and a pizza for the partner, knocked back with a couple of beers and a few wines
The service was good and the food was fast to come out. Value for money and some places on the island all think you flew in on your private helicopter.
Even the Australian was funny 🐨

Visited restaurant for lunch on busy Anzac weekend. Hadn’t booked but they accomodatingly gave us outdoor setting for 6(2 preschoolers, 4 adults) and let’s trust the showery weather to not dampen our experience. Only one light scud which sun umbrellas ☂ helped keep us dry. Lovely lunch, kids started with chicken skewers entree (with chips and tomato sauce 😀), adults shared a lovely cheeseboard with condiments 👌then ordered 2 house pizzas, fabulous flavours, light bases topped off with house Pinot Gris a nice drop. This place has outdoor fun activities for both young and old. Full marks to all the team, lovely experience.

The team at Wild was fun and so courteous. I messed up our reservation, so we missed our lunch sitting inside, but prior to us doing Archery and the Clay Shooting, they were able to accommodate us outside at a big table, which was absolutely perfect. During our archery, it started to rain, so we were unable to do the Clay Shooting. We were still sitting outside when it began to rain heavily, and the team moved us to tables inside and gave us a chunk off our food/beverage bill to reimburse us for the Clay Shooting. Great beers and wine and the food was fabulous. Highly recommend this place!

Wild on is vineyard place with fine food and wine but also activities to help entertain guests or attract more adventure oriented visitors. Both archery range and electronic clay shooting were fun and 30 minutes passed so fast that I was only beginning to have real fun. Meals served with vine weren’t the best I had in my life but nothing too bad either. Worth noting Wild On accommodated our large group of friends on busy weekend despite not having made any reservations so big thumbs up for their customer oriented approach. Great fun!

Went to Wild for lunch on a really wet day. They sat us at a table alongside the roaring fireplace. Wild is in such a beautiful location it was sad it was so wet.

The food and service was excellent. You must try there home made ginger beer. I had it mixed with an island rum and it was delicious. My wife had there rose and really liked it. Next time we are up this way on holiday we will spend more time here as they also have there own brewery and I would like to try there beer.

Booked lunch for 1pm. Was shown a table, sat down then went to look at what beer was on tap. By the time we got back our table (2mins) our table was given away which was awkward. Then sat for 15 mins trying to get served. When we finally did they let us know they couldn’t take a food order because the kitchen was too busy. But they did want to take my credit card away as a deposit! Absolute shambles. Went next door to stony ridge and had a great experience

Food was delicious - very generous servings. Had a share platter for two (or four for smaller portion) - would have easily served four and not left anyone hungry. Staff were helpful and friendly. Also helped to serve our own cake which they allowed us to bring for a birthday celebration
