Only a short journey from Trinidad, and easy to access on the tourist bus. However, it is very busy. Also, the sad is not as soft and see not as clear as the cayo beaches, especially north coast. Limited food options when there.

The beach is perfect, there are some restaurants with standard fare, but you might consider a picnic. Not crowded, we weren't solicited, the water was clean and warm.

Pristine white sandy beach just a few minutes from Trinidad. When you go late in the afternoon and stay away from the few beachfront hotels you"ll have the entire beach to yourself.

We rode rented bicycles out to the beach. The beach is lovely and the water was also great. We got lucky and found a spot under one of the existing umbrellas. Certainly one of the nicest beaches on Cuba.

This beach isn't half bad. Pretty nice sand, lots of places to get a drink or a bite, decent swimming, and a nice ride from Trinidad. Hire an old school car for the ride out and it gets that much better.

September is during hurricane season in the Caribbean and is more likely to be rainy. But, there are also nice stretches of weather.
