Great place to hang out. Lots of great music during the day and night. Beautiful building a block down from the old plaza. I heard some of the best music during the day. A venue for all kinds of music. Nice place to chill.

We were well advised to get here early which we did, being Christmas Eve and it paid off. A variety of bands played during the evening and there were some very well practised, if not professional/semi-professional dancers present. The rhythm was most certainly moving and the atmosphere eclectic. If you were lucky enough to be selected to dance it was... More

Casa de La Trova is really nice place with real traditional cuban music, you can dance, or just watch the old and young dancers and in the meantime you can drink a fine mojito or a canchanchara or just a cold beer if you want to, a very fresh place in an historical city.

I went to Casa de la Trova with a group of cuban friends and i really had a lot of fun listening to cuban live music. There were some different local bands and a lot of people were dancing and having fun.

We entered the place, with skepticism. We sat down for a drink. You go to Casa de la Trova for the music and mostly for the dancing. We found ourselves the greatest salsa teacher of all, Marcellino. You cannot miss him. He is the life of the place, and we were lucky to dance with him.

We spent a wonderful evening listening to a couple of local bands and watching the locals dance amazingly well. The only downside was that it was incredibly hot that night - it's in an enclosed courtyard and with not much Breeze. Highly recommended.

Casa de la Trova is an open air seating club where many local bands perform. The music was great to listen and dance to. The drinks are very inexpensive. It is a great place to spend an evening with friends or the locals and enjoy the flavor of Cuba. .....Yolanda

I really enjoyed my time here , the band was amazing. Do get here early as after a while it can be hard to find empty seats .The cover is 1CUC . If you like to dance you are in for a treat.

Enjoy an evening performance, but get there a little early to sit up front - the rum is not expensive and the pre-show groups are always good too. I saw a performance with a whole row of drummers and other musicians on the left and the dancers on the stage were in period costume, performing Afro-Caribbean dances. The show was... More
