The museum has some interesting things but it is not well maintained. That said, the price is cheap and worth it for the town views from the tower.

I knew very little of the history of Cuba. The museum itself is quite beautiful. The architecture is colonial in nature. Exactly what I thought the pre revolution era must have looked like

Entry price is only 2 CUC, which makes it worth it even if you just want to go see the view from the tower. There are some interesting displays as well, mostly concerning the revolution (at least that was all we found!), and even though only a few have been translated to English, they are very visual and do make... This museum is described in the LP guidebook as 'Trinidad's showpiece museum'. So, we had high hopes when paid 2 CUCs (each) entry fee. Must have missed something, as really thought our experience could be best be described as 'underwhelming'. One thing we did miss was the view from the top of the tower, and most reviewers rave about this.... More

The Museo de Historia Municipal is located in a beautiful historic builiding and is as such worth a visit. Witin the museum there is access to a tower that gives a great view over Trinidad. The exhibition is a little boring and doesn't really inspire. Dissapointing.

You can take a walk around the Museum and enjoy. Do not miss the tower were you can see all Trinidad and the sea.

We enjoyed visiting this museum. The displays on the first floor are interesting but the highlight is the tower that looks out over the city. The climb is not easy since the stairs are steep and narrow but the view at the top is worth the trip. The four way view over this beautiful city is panoramic providing an interest... More

It was meant to be a museum but there wasn't much I learnt from visiting this site . There was very little in English that I could read , if you can read Spanish you might get a bit more from visiting this home . Other than the good view when you get to the top of the steep attic... More

Amazing place which fits the history of Trinidad. Interesting background to the building and the walk up the tower is well worth the view from the top.
