Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrifying if you are afraid of heights but beautiful at the same time. Proceed with caution! Glad I had the experience but don’t need a repeat.

Beautiful… just beautiful. I can see why this is such a highly recommend route to and from the GC via Phoenix. We did not go through this route on the way to GC BUT we came through it on the way back from the GC to Sedona and OMG- going down definitely is better than going up. It is scary with the road and blind spots… but if you take your time- you’ll be good. The views are to die for. Breath taking and just beautiful!!

Beautiful but don’t take an RV or a person who is afraid of heights. Very tight switchbacks and narrow lanes up along the edge of a cliff. It’s beautiful but scary. Drive safe! 💕

This is perhaps THE most scenic drive in the USA. Really! Its is truly amazing. Make sure you drive it FROM Flagstaff to Sedona, ie downhill. Its amazing. I put it right up there with Rt 1 on the west coast. No really!

This drive was perfect for our rented convertible. Lots of sights to see on the winding switchbacks and outlooks.

We drove this route north for 1.25 hours from Sedona to Williams, AZ. on our way to take the train to the Grand Canyon.

Amazing views around every turn! There will be lots of turns and high elevation! Look for pull off spots and cute resorts & restaurants along the way. We did not stop but want to come back! There’s a stream that is viewable from the road for most of the drive (closer to Sedona) A fun experience to drive!
