Road is now open all the way spectacular views and drive we did it in 5-1/2 hours lots of vista points and places to pull over along the way. Ragged Point is a great stop as well as the Elephant Seals north of San Simieon

big sur campsite don’t camp though. they provide cabins available to hire for the night. very cute.

2.5 hours if you drive straight through on Hwy 1 (and there are no mud slides). However, you'll want to stop often at the lookouts and State Park (free lookouts) along the way. You could do it in five hours and really enjoy... More
