We travelled the much advertised coastal highway on our motorcycle from Astoria to Depot Bay. Our expectation was that we would be travelling along the ocean the whole way according to pictures we had seen. Not at all, we found Haystack Rock but was difficult...More

So beautiful all the way! We took Hwy 101 and from there took scenic routes wherever possible. We stopped at every state park and enjoyed each breathtaking view we could find. Take the time to stop and appreciate the coastal beauty, so worth every moment!...More

This has to be our favourite stretch of scenic coastline which evokes a similar excitement as does Big Sur. Every bend in the 563 km length of Highway 101 reveals yet another natural wonder......waves crashing against the cliffs of Cape Kiwanda.....the expanse of sand dunes...More
