Looking for a beautiful fall drive with lots of colors and scenery, this is it. Pick a beautiful day of coarse! The Fruit Loop starts and ends in Hood River, Or. It is a loop that has you winding past big fruit farms and stands. Stock up on many variety of apples and pears this time of year and taste... More

Beautiful, scenic drive & friendly farms. My friend & I added the Fruit Loop to our trip viewing the waterfalls off Hwy 30. This was a lot of fun & even though a bit rainy still a pretty drive.

We just did the fruit loop last weekend. We had a beautiful day and the scenery and Mt. Hood/Mt Adams was stunning. It's an easy drive, but it does take some getting used to pulling off the hwy quickly at stops. My wife and I figured we had to be 'decisive' and say yes or no fast. We did exist... More

We decided to do the fruit loop after hearing a lot of good things about it. We probably stopped at 7 of the farms and had fun going through the stores. Sept. 23 seems not to be the best time to go; the farms seemed to be cutting back on their produce. We did pick up some different apples than... More

September must be the month for this area as we meandered through several small towns. The pear and apple trees were full as well as the blueberries still on the bushes. We drove by lavender and tree farms and vineyards full of grapes. We stopped at Draper Girls Farm Stand and bought the most delicious peaches and preserves!

The height of fruit in Hood River is during September and October! We stopped by over the labor day weekend. It's early season and apples and pears are just starting to come out, but there is lots of summer fruit and produce including corn, onions, peaches, berries, jams, local honey, tomatoes, etc. Each year we pick up a guide and... We are very excited to visit the Fruit Loom, but we arrived to early on the season. They just open the stands in the first weekend of June. Maybe next time. (they are closed for the winter)

A wonderful produce stand surrounded by orchards and fields of flowers. Plus a fun swing in the yards. Owner was super friendly and welcoming.

We began the Fruit Loop with an easy hike around Lost Lake, lunched at Apple Valley BBQ in Parkland, and then stopped at a handful of places along the Fruit Loop. We picked lavender, tried a flight of hard ciders, chose some fruit in season. There are many wineries only the route. Check for fruits of the season and times... More
