Hiked to the top. Trails are decent shape(may slide on the loose rock in a few places). Very windy that day and fires from Canada made it hazy, not great for photos. A few benches on the trail to rest, a platform at the top,...More

Enjoyed the two mile hike to the top. Lots of stairs to assist in the climb, however it does require you to be in decent shape to do it. Great views from top.

Be sure to go into the small museum and check out all of the Native American history. The attendant was very informative and kind. We really enjoyed the hike up the mountain. The scenery was beautiful.

We went there on thanksgiving day. Only a few other people were there. We took our time, two hours to the top. Beautiful place! Make sure you take time to look around.

Located by Sturgis, SD about 6 miles away. We enjoyed this state park. Nice, but somewhat strenuous hike. 3.6 miles uphill to the top. Wear good hiking shoes & take water. Fit children should have no problem. There's also a visitor center with museum.
