The Catamount trail is over 300 miles from south to north of Vermont. I cross-country skied section 1 which is about 8 miles top to bottom, so 16 there and back. There is free parking at 1098 Harriman Station Drive in Readsboro VT. The trail...More

When you are visiting Vermont in the winter, check out the Catamount trail. The trail is 270 miles of backcountry skiing that will take you through the mountains fields and woods of Vermont. The trail maintained by volunteers is a national treasure
