This paved trail that extends 50 miles or so between DC and, well, whatever town is 50 miles west of DC, is excellent for walking, running, biking, rollerblading...I guess that's all I've seen people do so far (though there are signs that say to watch...More

Excellent place to walk, bike, or run!! Trail is pretty flat with some hills...great for training. Some areas are next to water, too! There is also a mountain bike trail right next to the paved one!

Amazing trail suited for bike and pedestrian alike. Hidden in a urban area between DC and IAD. Noted paved and non paved trails to accommodate the different requirements of bikes and pedestrians.

Well maintained with lots of amenities at regular intervals. Built with bikes in mind unlike some local trails, the hills are all moderate. It is a power line trail, but a very nice one.

We love to drive over to Leesburg from MD via White's Ferry to bike the section of the W & OD trail that goes west from Leesburg towards Purcellville. There is a slight rising grade on the outbound leg. Several road crossings are located within...More
