This is my favorite memorial.

my children always ask to come here when we visit DC. They love the big guy on the chair as they call him.

Visiting the memorial of the 16th President of the United States was simply awesome. The statue itself if larger than life. Has access for wheel chair. The reflecting pool infront that leads to Washington monument is also breathtaking. Good for photography. You could even have a good run in the park and the ample space gives you a feel good... You might think that this is just a very large stone box with a large statue inside. However the Lincoln memorial is so much more than that - the location is stunning and sitting on the steps looking down the Mall towards the Capitol offers one of the world's great vistas. The atmosphere inside has a certain something difficult to... More

Great to see this famous landmark that we'd seen in many movies Wonderful tribute Was really surprised to discover it was an open attraction in the middle of a park that you can just walk up to, expected barriers and queues and security checks etc

Of course the statue looks just like it does in pictures, but seeing it in person and up close is just breathtaking. So beautiful. There are nice restrooms underneath and interesting exhibits as well. I was really thankful there was an elevator in working order - those steps are steep! The view of the Washington Monument from the steps of... More

This is my favorite place to visit in DC and it never gets old. The statue is so grand and the view of the National Mall from there is just spectacular. If nothing else, you have to see this!

Beautiful, extremely gorgeous, Kids were excited about the trip there they were thrilled to read the inaugural address of Lincoln the same time very moved-really it gets you very much while you read those lines in the memorial than when you read it on the internet Always busy site and loud even though there are many signs that warn you... A must see if you are in Washington DC. Don't forget to enjoy the view from the top of the steps. There is a museum and restrooms in the "basement" of the memorial.

Thank D L
