We planned ahead to tour the White House while we were on vacation. The history is seeped all through it and it is truly worth the visit.

Not quite as good as Belfast City Hall but still well worth a visit. Try and avoid a visit during holiday periods as it gets quite crowded.

When we visited the White House it took a while to find. We got there in the end and it was just as expected. I’m happy we were able to visit during our trip.

All politics aside, this is one of the most powerful sights anywhere. There’s no way you’re in DC and not walk to see one of the most historical places in America. Truly an incredible place.

Able to take awesome pictures of the White House with visiting friends. I have been here before and you could go all the way to the border of the White House but this has now been curtailed. Anyway, it’s still worth a visit.

I don't think you'll have time to do both. It takes a while to get thru WH security and inside. You won't want to be too stressed and rushed once you finally get in. The capital building is not right around the cornet... More

Our Canadian Embassy says the same thing. My step daughter lives in Arizona, so getting her to write her representative was an idea I was going to try if my letter had failed.
