We stumbled into the kids section at the library of Congress. It’s an amazing place for a brake if you have younger children. There is plenty of sitting areas for the adults and plenty for the kids to do. The ambiance is relaxed with different...More

Good place to visit. The building is AMAZING. Can't go into the actual library without going through some process (we didn't check into it). Glad I went.

Worth the long walk down the Mall (or take a taxi ) to see this DC treasure. The ceilings are beautiful.

Absolutly breathtaking views. We really looked forward to visiting. The building was entered through a tunnel after our tour of the capitol. Lots of visual beauty and photo opportunities. Be prepared to climb stairs

I’m so glad we made this part of our trip. Getting the library card (as recommended in one of the message boards here) was completely worth it. Not only will I treasure that card, the access to the main reading room is amazing. I could...More

Three of us took the guided tour and it was excellent! It lasted almost two hours but the time went by too quickly. There were only 6 of us on the tour which made it all the better. Especially interesting was that without a library...More

I would plan 2-3 hours so as not to rush. The tour guides seem very good. My cousin works there so she took us around herself. Much more than a library!!
