The beauty of this building is amazing! You have to see it to understand. They don’t make buildings like this anymore. It’s also great to take a peek at Thomas Jefferson’s private collection that he donated to the Library of Congress. Definitely worth your time...More

This is a nice experience. Plan to spend about Two hours or more (pending on your love for books). Long lines at times to overlook the research reading room.

This is a beautiful building both outside and in. The painted walls and ceilings with all their columns is stunning then add to this the fact that it’s the largest library in the world. Take a peep down over top edge to look down into...More

This is a must see in DC. Especially for people who love libraries. You can take a free guided tour. The building is amazing! The sheer number of books is awe-inspiring. And anyone can become a member!

I was surprised by the light in this library, and the intimate Jefferson office. The temporary exhibition on Americans in WW I was appropriate in this time of remembrance

I would plan 2-3 hours so as not to rush. The tour guides seem very good. My cousin works there so she took us around herself. Much more than a library!!
