It was terribly cold when we visited, but it didn’t matter because we got to see this beauty! What a wonder.

My family and I were aware that the elevator within the monument was being worked on and that the monument was closed to the public. We walked by it and took pictures with it. It was an amazing site and we often joked that it...More

Just like in the movies only it's real and that's a fact Jack!!! The vision is kind of like what I imagine seeing the Great Pyramid would be. Larger than life and hard to get into a single frame shot. Our day was made all...More

You can see this memorial from many places. Our favorite view of it was at the Lincoln Memorial. We didn’t go in but it was a great picture to have so don’t miss it.

The monument and its surroundings are completely worth the walk. We chose to walk the National Mall, and no matter where you were, you could see this amazing monument with its fantastic history.

Maybe, more than any District of Columbia structure, this most visible monument "defines" Washington, D.C. You see of picture of it, you know where it is. A magnificent memorial to our First President.

Is so big and nice to see it and take a snapshot, for sure you cannot miss it even because is just in the middle between Lincoln memorial and the Capitol. A lot of green around and just next to the museum... don’t miss it

Typically cancellations are done at the Visitor Centrex or at the Park Rangers Office. I have seen it being done at Visitor Centrex in some places though I have not done it .
