National Mall is a beautiful. Monuments mark the people that shaped US history. There are many museums both sides of the park.

Did not know how big this area was, really enjoyed walking around it. Surprised to see so much activity, flag football, soccer, seems a tournament was happening. Great to see outdoor sports.

Everything is off the mall. One end Lincoln the other end the Capitol building and in between The White House. Every museum is located off of the mall as are sculptures, monuments and places of great importance and interest. An absolute must do!

All museums are next and across from each other. You could do 2-3 in day but you might miss some stuff!! They are big and you can do lot of different things in each. I think the air and space is a must and American history... More

MOab4Fun, I will expand on the previous comments to your question and state that not only are there lots of pedestrians, noticing your usermname it appears you are used to sweet singletrack, you will not find this here.
