For a first timer in DC, this is a must. There is SO MUCH TO SEE and SO MANY MILES to cover. This hop on and off trolley delivers you to the monuments, exhibits, and museums. We have a family of 4, with two teen girls. For us, it was the way to go for our first time in D.C.... More

We stood in the rain for over 45 minutes at stop 21 on the morning of January 17th. We called and they said several of their drivers did not come in and they would be there soon. This was not true. Several tour companies passed our drop off location, many times. We went to Arlington that day. The wait at... More

This is a great way to get around, and our driver was full of interesting facts! The DC at nigh tour took us to the Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, FDR memorial, Iwo Jima memorial, plus drive-bys of the senate, white house, etc. Great tour!

This tour service is PHENOMENAL!!!!! My girlfriend got her and I a two day pass as a Christmas gift this year. The tour guides on the trolleys are humorous, insightful, and extremely personable. There are about 13 stops spread out across DC at all major memorials, museums, and Arlington Cemetary. You can hop on and off as many times as... More

This is a great way to get around. Park your car once or take the metro to the Welcome Center. Hop on the trolley and jump off at the White House, various Smithsonian museums, Union Station (for lunch), Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Capital, etc.

I would recommend the extended tour if you have time. The tour provides great information. Each tour guide has a different style. The tour helps you get around the town. It took us about 75 minutes to do the tour without getting off the bus. My only complaint is that we had to wait 30-35 minutes for the trolley on... More

Did the 6:30 tour with Jake from State Farm. What a great way to see the monuments. Started at Union Station which was across from our hotel, the Phoenix Park. Jake did a great job driving us around town with lots of great information and a bunch of corny jokes. Our bus was pretty reserved and I think Jake wanted... More

Worst ever. $25 per person and you cannot hear anything due to children, loud foreigners and road traffic. The guy in front of us is doing business on his phone loud enough for the entire business can hear. Will never do this again.

Please accept my apologies for the experience you had with our tour. We take great pride in Historic Tours of America tours and attractions and make every effort to remind guests of the narrated portion of the tour. We encourage guests to silence cell phones and limit conversation. However, as you have experienced, we cannot control the misbehavior of others.... More

The trolley runs around the city on several different routes sorted by color. You buy a ticket and can get on and off at any stop. While driving, the driver does tell you factoids, but you leave the trolley at the sites you want and it is self guided.

We took both the day time tour and the night time tour of DC. In each case, our driver was very friendly and informative. The trolleys stop at a number of spots and if you get off you can expect another one in around 30 minutes. We went on cold days in December so the plastic curtains were a slight... More
