I don’t usually post reviews but last summer I went to that Museum and how to say in one word that it was STUNNING, there’s no such word to express my feeling ! Exploring the African-American story was extraordinary. The kids fully understood it and enjoyed learning ( Wow 🤦🏽♀️). Many costums, animations, pictures that retrace the story of the United States. Anyways I totally recommend to visit this Museum ( that’s what I’ve been doing for months to my beloved one 😅) …

A few days ago, I visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and that was one of the best visit I have never done! With its magnificent modern design and pronounced architecture, you have to see this museum at least once in your life. Moreover, I have learnt many information and facts about the history of Black Americans and the Civil Rights Movement. Also, the fact that each elder can talk and tell their stories is very lively! I recommend this place!…

Hi!. I was here sometime ago before corona. Just found my review. I am sure that aside from corona precautions, the museum is just the same as when I first visited it. Don't know how it is now but when I went there, there was no tips telling me how to do the museum. What I did was go up and work my way down. I agree with other posters that it is best to start from the bottom as it shows the black experience in America from the beginning. Nice to end at the reflecting pool to reflect on what you have just witnessed. Then go upstairs to see the current contribution they have given to our country. From sports- Michael Jordan- to Music- the Temptations- and everything in between. And don't forget the olympian who put Hitler's showcase olympics to shame. For those with a bent for history, a must go even once in your lifetime. However you must go with an open mind. It is very compelling. The exhibits are like in a maze. They could be better laid out. I spent the morning at the Holocaust Museum and the afternoon here and I could say you can actually see the difference in the layout. Holocaust was better. Timewise it depends on how long you would spend on the exhibits. I'd say I spent close to 3 hours there.…
