Yes it is the premier venue in the area for performing arts. My favorite is all the touring Broadway musicals that come through. In addition to all of that, you can get fantastic photos of the city from the roof terrace. Monuments, the Washington cathedral,...More

My partner & I went to see Giselle last Saturday at Kennedy Center & it was amazing. The venue is breath taking & certainly worth going to at some point. The Opera House was beautiful. Our box seats were fabulous & it was great to...More

2 Thumbs down! Saturday’s National Symphony Orchestra performance of Space: The Next Frontier could have been excellent and memorable except there was no air conditioning! We left at intermission. SAD FACE emoticon.

We took an extremely short tour that highlighted the historic events that led up to the establishment of the national cultural center and a living memorial to President John Kennedy. It includes an interactive exhibit his life and presidency. We learned about the works of...More

We toured this impressive building. Our guide was one of 500 volunteers. Unfortunately, we did not see a live performance. So, I can only imagine how wonderful that would be. Someday, I hope to return & experience a show. The reason I'm giving it 4...More

Had the pleasure of being able to make the free concerts they do on Monday evening. The entire venue is stunning and some amazing history behind it. Make sure to stop by and take in the sights when in DC.

The Kennedy Center has an imposing presence along the banks of the Potomac. You can enjoy nice views of Georgetown Waterfront Park and Georgetown’s buildings from its terrace which is just outside the entrance to the theater. The theater itself is simple with plain red...More

We attended a concert of the National Orchestra conducted by Gianfranco Noseda. The performance of Brahms 4th Symphony was electrifying. The impressive halls of the center host great modern art exhibitions.

We made the first of two pre booked visits to the Center and Opera House today. The architecture is most impressive and the various halls and displays blend together well. If you are visiting by public transport then consider the Metro to the “Foggy Bottom”...More

The concerts change every Monday but they have them listed so you can see who will be there while you are in DC. I suggest going early as it’s first come first serve for seating. The performance is also televised.
