Of course you should, but if you have limited time, the Kennedy Center's views up and down the Potomac and across to Virginia are well worth the trip, especially as at the sun sets. Millennium Stage has free performances every night at 6:00. (Get there early if you want to sit).

An iconic performing arts center, and truly worth of its fame. If you have the time, try the café on the second floor and step onto the terrace. The view of Washington is wonderful.

We went here for the opera La Boheme. The facility is huge and awe inspiring with a large sculture of John F, Kennedy. The show was fantastic. Don't miss the gift shop either, we spent a long time in there, they have lots of cool and novelty gifts. Make sure that your taxi driver has a knowledge of the suburbs... More

We were able to see Little Dancer a fairly new musical. We all loved it including our husbands (usually fall asleep). I would recommend this venue to all visitors.

I have been to the JFK center for plays before, and loved it, but I recently took a free1-hour tour of the building and it was awesome! The tour guide was super engaging, knew his information, and took lots of questions from the audience. This really should be a must-do activity for anyone who is looking to do something that... This center for the performing arts is the place to experience culture at it's best. From dancers to singers to special performances often seen by the President, you never know what you might see. I have been there often and I love it. Parking is available but it is expensive.

The Kennedy Center is a cultural icon in DC and has three spectacular performance spaces -- a theatre, an opera house and a concert hall. They have parking below the Center, although it is $23 per performance. Anything you see there is worthwhile.

A memorable Center for Performing Arts! I went to see a showing of "My Fair Lady" way back in 2008 and the play was nice but the venue itself is even more impressive ... almost regal.} If you can catch a play or performance here while in DC it is highly recommended.

We went to watch 'Lion King' here, we thought it will be tough to navigate through the place, it was not so bad. we loved the seating area, it is designed so most of the seats get a good view at the stage. the cafeteria we felt was small & costly but it has a beautiful terrace right next to...
