My wife and I took the Metro to the Dupont Circle Station. We walked through Dupont Circle to get to our restaurant. There is an overlook over Conneticut Avenue which is really neat. It makes a nice place to walk through.

There are several hotels in this area. Next time, we would probably stay somewhere cheaper. It is convenient to the subway.

Not sure about apartment but check the ones on 16 street and near by New Hampshire Ave. because some of them may include parking or have spaces available.
