We got a guided tour of the Capital through the Tunnel. I will never forget the walk and the entrance to the Dome ! I could have stood and looked at its beauty all day !

The Capitol's Visitor Center is a great way to learn about the Capitol thru its movie orientation and subsequent tour of the buiding. Tour guides informative. Exhibits intersting to look at while waiting for tour to start. Engaging for all ages. No food allowed so remember to check your bags.

Stopped at Capital Hill on a trip for work and found it to be a wonderful experience. I say eye opening because there is so much going on behind the scenes that most people do not know , which has direct impact on their jobs .

An impressive building, though there was some construction / repair work underway at the time of our visit in the summer - presumably to get things into tip-top shape for the Inauguration. There's no denying that it's one of many important sites in Washington, with some great views of the city from the external steps.

My review is for exterior only. Walked up the steps of the East entry, and had good view of the crowds on the day after Inauguration. Continuing around to the West entry, we saw the inauguration platform, which was impressive to see in person, no matter your political leanings. The seat of democracy. Looking forward to a return visit to... More

Amazing architecture and history. Even if you're not a political person it is amazing to see the inner workings of the government and the hustle and bustle in the Capitol.
