This museum is sort of off the beaten path from the main part of the mall. If you walk in the Lincoln Memorial your walk through the MLK Memorial and then get you this moral before getting to the Jefferson Memorial. It's worth the walk. Basically you walk through a series of walls that have some statutes and a lot... More

We recently re-visited the Roosevelt Memorial over Presidents' Day weekend - a fitting time to be viewing memorials in Washington, DC. We thought this outdoor memorial did a great job of capturing the challenges of the times as well as honoring the legacy of FDR and Eleanor. Take time to read the carvings and plaques as you admire the sculpture... More

I LOVED all of FDR's quotes etched into the stone, which for me was also symbolic - etched in stone. I had not heard all of them, and many were very moving and still relevant today. All presidents should have to go thru and remind themselves that they work for the American people.

One of the more modest memorials as per FDRs request, it comes w/ it's fair share of interesting stories including the fact that FDR often tried to hide the fact that he was wheelchair bound when photographed or making public speeches. Worth the visit.

We viewed this memorial at night and got some great shots. This memorial is a lot larger than we thought and you can get some get shots of other memorials off in the distance.

This memorial is situated along a pleasant path if you're interested in taking a stroll from the Lincoln Memorial to the Jefferson Memorial. The pools and shaded area are nice on a hot summer afternoon.

I enjoyed my nighttime visit to this memorial. It has many statues on display highlighting different things FDR did for his country. It's very interesting and like all memorials free to visit

A very well made memorial with plenty of statues and quotes of one of our greatest presidents. I saw it at night and it was well lit and you could view the Washington Monument from across the river.

Make sure to find out about all the symbolism, amazing! Each section is a term of his presidency and depicts his accomplishments and struggles, both professionally and personally
