My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. So many different exhibits to check out even though it was the "off season". We can just imagine how beautiful the outdoor gardens must look when in full bloom. We particularly liked the section that gave you houseplant care tips. The tropical rain forest was really neat as well. Don't forget to... More

A quick detour through the garden will take less than an hour. The variety of climate zones represented is very fascinating. I'm sure it's even more beautiful in the spring.

Fascinating to see species from around the world, as well as learning about history of plants from millions of years ago. Learned much about medicinal plants as well as poisonous ones. The grandkids all enjoyed themselves.

We went in February so many of the colors are not out yet. But it is worth viewing. It should only take you 1-2 hours to see everything.

We really weren't planning on visiting but had some time to kill and decided to visit whatever we could find parking near. My tween who rolls her eyes at everything actually loved it!! There were so many neat plants and beautiful flowers inside. The room temps and humidity varied so wear layers. We would definitely visit again.

What a jewel! To be able to step in to this little eden in mid-winter is a delight. We could have spent the day in the Tropical Garden: lush foliage, a small stream, delightful humidity and birds singing. Just perfect.

I enjoy the indoor exhibits, with the different areas/climates that are displayed. They did a great job renovating the outdoor garden area. It is a nice place to walk around in any weather.

Right in front of the US Capitol is one of America's real treasures, the US Botanic Garden. This is easily worth your time. There are a number of different gardens inside, and the nice warm feel of the Tropics in the center can help you completely forget the real temperature outside. There are fascinating plants of every kind, including a... More
