Great place to visit, free admission and terrific Christmas displays and decorations, BUT the place is overrun with strollers. Tried to view the train exhibit with special NPS buildings but the room is small and the gigantic strollers allowed make the experience a nightmare. I understand that people want to bring their children to a train theme but it's not... More

Just love visiting the Botanical Gardens, especially on a cold winter's day. The yearly model train exhibit never disappoints. This year, it was a tribute to our national parks and monuments. Amazing that all those wonderful creations are made from all natural materials. Children will love the exhibits and giant Christmas tree. It's a must see!

They specially decorate with train displays, models of the monuments made from plant products. The theme of the displays change each year so it is always something new and beautiful

I know this place must be amazing when it is completely functioning but we caught it as they were getting set up for Christmas. What was wonderful was the exhibit of all the monuments from DC made of natural materials!

The place is beautiful and is a must see for any flower lover. The orchid collection is lovely. I want to go back in mid-spring as we went in the heat of summer some of the outside plants were not in bloom.

The botanic gardens are always a highlight when in the nation's capitol! The lines were long to see the train exhibit but that was to be expected over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was well worth the wait to see the various homes, national parks and monuments made out of plant materials. Our young grandchild greatly enjoyed the various trains.

The Botanical Gardens were quite beautiful. We went through it in an hour or less, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

There is no admission fee, and it is a thoroughly enjoyable place to walk through. I like to spend about an hour here going through each wing taking time to view each of the types of flowers. It is interesting no matter the season of the year.

We found street parking and paid at a little kiosk. Despite the lack of color in the exterior gardens there was still plenty of things inside that were very fascinating. If you are curious about plants it is an enjoyable experience. My daughter kept saying she felt like she was in another world. I found the medicinal garden to be... More

Even if you have only 45 minutes to spare, this is a lovely, indoor stroll. Impressive! Offers up some gorgeous sights and delightful scents!
