It's the best spent nickel in town. The best musicians in the city. It's all straight ahead jazz and this crowd knows every song, every line, every solo, every chord and key change. Also the friendliest crowd in the city. I knew none of them when I got here... They adopted me. This place is family.…

You can the best Jazz in the City at a price you wouldn’t believe. Friday Night Jazz and Monday Night Blues. Come out and enjoy great music and good food.

Talented and entertaining musicians playing vibrant Jazz on Friday night (Blues on Monday night). Home made comfort food is available downstairs in the community room. Good choice of entrée: Salmon Cake, Fried Catfish, Pulled BBQ Pork, Chicken and sides. Entrance is $5 and dinner around $10.…

How have we missed this?! What a terrific jazz venue. Warm and welcoming. Friendly locals and visitors. Jazz experts and jazz newbies. All here to soak in some amazing talent, carrying on in the tradition of Duke Ellington and other jazz luminaries who had their roots in the District. The five dollar cover charge makes it all seem circa 1970 (and kids under 18 are free). The very reasonably priced and tasty soul food in the basement is the icing on top (and the music is piped in live downstairs, so you don’t miss a thing). What a great Friday night musical treat.…
