This memorial is different in several ways from the other memorials. Each state and territory is represented. It is visually pleasing memorial and a place where people tend to gather and visit while the experience the memorial.

A very cool place to visit. A nice place to honor our military personnel. A great place to get exercise because you will get a lot of walking in here. While you are here you can walk a short distance to visit the Lincoln Memorial...More

Just loved this memorial to our greatest generation. The scope of this war and what this memorial covers is astounding. Located between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial this is a memorial you can just sit around and reflect.

The memorial was impressive, it reminded me to the Veteran's Day memorial in Buchanan, VA. But the states around the memorial are a bit mixed up.

This is a Monument that allows us to tell about the Branch of service and the areas they served in to the grand kids. You can see the eyes open as each of their grand parents story was told.

I have visited this memorial several times, and each time I am moved by the size and beauty of the place. The symbolism incorporated into it is worth taking the time to learn about and understand. Walk around each of the wreaths. Enjoy the fountains....More

All the memorials were fantastic, but to see a memorial that my two brothers fought in was awe inspiring.

This is an outstanding tribute to America's greatest generation. The fountain in the middle is beautiful. There is not one aspect of the war that was left out in the memorial. It is a must see on your DC trip!

I believe there is, when i visited there was a lot of visitors in wheel chairs, and good disabled access to the memorial. The veterans in question had come by coach, but i am sure there was car parking there as well.

The area is fairly well lit at night and has a number of people there, that being said, there are lots of dark areas nearby with many parts of the memorial blocked from view from the outside, so, unfortunately the beset I... More
