A fun, entertaining and though-provoking evening of political satire, non-PC songs, hilarious impersonations and clever verse. Non-partisan, they lampoon everyone who's done something publicly they can turn into a funny skit. These entertainers are up close and personal with their own unique view of the antics of Washington DC. After a show they will mingle with the crowd. Their home... More

The capital steps are a Washington tradition, talented staffers who work in the House and Senate who have the ability to make light of every scandal, and there is plenty of material to work with this season. It's a 90 minute show with intermission. Irrespective of your political leanings you are likely to laugh hard and often, unless you are... More

This was a great way to spend an evening. Even if you are sick of politics right now, this will cheer you up. The staying alive skit is hysterical. All of the performers did a great job playing current political figures. The tickets are reasonably priced and the venue is also easy to get to. Uber to it though, because... More

The five-person cast provides 2-hours of laughter and enjoyment as they satirize our nation's most senior officials, performing comedic lyrics to well-known songs in the very personas they mock. Timely and bipartisan, no US or world leader is safe from the entertaining lampooning that makes light of the foley that comes with being in the political spotlight of the public... More

Visited this comedy venue during a business trip and I did think it was funny. Now not laugh out loud funny, but I did laugh several times. I have to compliment the cast (middle aged folks) as they really were exceptional! If you are looking for something to do in DC at a reasonable price and with virtually clean comedy,... More

Went on 11/11, 3 days after the election and they did not disappoint. Amazing what a cast of five can do. The parodies are top notch and the theater is very intimate. The theater is in the bottom floor and there are signs to lead you there.

We were in Washington the weekend before the natoinal election and thought a trip to Capitol Steps would be appropriate. We were not disappointed. We have seen Capitol Steps before in various locations. This was the first time we saw them in the Reagan Building Amphitheater. .The five person company wa sall in good voice, probably better than any other... More

Great show that is kept completely up-to-date with everchanging skits. The material pokes fun at every political persuasion equally and fairly gently, too, so it is easy to laugh at all of it. Definitely a good time out for most anyone. There is a Metro stop right at the Ronald Reagan Building.

We had heard that the Capitol Steps was a Washington tradition that couldn't be missed, but were a little hesitant about going, as there was concern that some of it would be over our heads. We aren't all that political. Let us assure you that it was tailor made for everyone. Not too left, not too right, perfectly unbiased. It... More

But during an election year, even better! One of the best years for material and they didn't disappoint. FYI, they do not allow drinks in the theatre so do not allow the concession stand to tell you otherwise!
