The Ansel Adams photographs are spectacular for their mastery of light and strength of contrast. These are truly gems from the day when point and shoot was not yet in our common vocabulary.

What a terrific collection of Ansel Adams' photos. I had no idea it even existed before checking TripAdvisor. Great discovery just a few yards away from the National Geographic Museum and the beautiful cathedral of St Matthew. The collection is exhibited on the first floor...More

A great surprise - quiet, spacious gallery of beautiful photography. Large Ansel Adams collection, worth the walk/distance. Close to several other attractions. Fairly tucked away - ensure you've got the address/maps out.

The Wilderness Society was near my hotel and I had some time to kill. Wow, what a great exhibit. Great selection of prints from Ansel Adams. Not to be missed. Someone needs to go through and straighten the photos once in a while, though.

The Wilderness Society is the home to more than eighty Ansel Adams photographs. This is a permanent collection. The gallery space has been award winning, and presents only the Adams work. It is a quiet place, easily overlooked with the competition of the larger and...More
