A nice way to spend an hour

We were vacationing nearby and wanted to visit this park. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted a 1 hour, 1 day or a yearly pass. After asking about the park the Ranger said... read more

Just like cave point there are so many trails here! Nice place to get a good hike in! Great place to explore with family or spend quality time with a hubby or someone special! The tower here is phenomenal!

This park has several scenic view points (one having an observation tower you can climb about three stories). There is a boat launch, a large campground (with primitive and RV camps separated), and good hiking trails (including the Eastern terminus of the Ice Age trail).

We were vacationing nearby and wanted to visit this park. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted a 1 hour, 1 day or a yearly pass. After asking about the park the Ranger said we could certainly see all the high points in an hour. She was right. We had a nice couple of walks in different parts... More

In this park we had two goals: Explore a bit of the Ice Age Trail and climb the Potawatomi Tower. The trail was quite easy and we had some good exercise. By the way this trail goes through all of Wisconsin! However, the highlight here was to climb up the 75 feet Potawatomi Tower, made solely with wood. We had... More

Not as busy as Peninsula State Park. Stayed for 4 nights next to friends. We are tent campers. Only one shower/flush toilet facility for whole campground from what we experienced. Unless there's another hidden somewhere? Water in showers was warm enough, but the women's bathroom always seemed a mess. Serviced once a day. So... a hike to get to bathroom.depending... More

The colors on the published maps are somewhat faded and hard to differentiate one trail from the other on the map, but besides that, very well maintained and at least during the week not overly busy. We saw only three other parties during our 8 mile hike.

This is a very nice state park with beautiful views. They have a very nice 4 lane concrete boat launch, many picnic areas by the lake, and beautiful hiking/mountain biking trails. The park is getting a little dated but the shower house is still in good shape. There are 3 shower stalls in men's and women's side. My wife says... More

We stayed at the group campsite for two nights through some pretty exciting rain storms. Ranger staff was great, and our group really enjoyed the convenient boat rentals, observation tower, and scenic hikes.

Nice place for camping. We had booked electrical campsite but it was not big enough. It was suitable for RVs but we were there for tent camping. We called the office and Ranger stopped by within 10-15 mins. She gave us option for changing the campsite and luckily we got campsite 94. Also they refunded the amount difference. There was enough... More
