- CorihiHonolulu, Hawaii703 contributionsMajestic MountainsWe visited three national parks on our road trip : Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Our favorite was Grand Teton. It’s the smallest of the three, but also the least crowded and more relaxing. The mountains were majestic and so breathtaking! We drove the 42 mile scenic loop from Moose Junction and the Jenny Lake scenic drive. Due to time constraints, we didn’t stop at Mormon Row or other sites. The mountains were the main attraction. We definitely want to go back to Grand Teton and explore more of the park. One of the highlights of our drive was seeing a red fox darting across the road. My husband said that was a rare sighting. Tip: look up the 42 mile scenic loop at exploregtnp.com.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 October 2023
- Kevin BMount Juliet, Tennessee3,752 contributionsBreathtaking! It's truly amazing that this National Park is located so close to Yellowstone and that you can see both on one trip because Grand Teton is worth a trip all by itself. It's spectacularly beautiful and there's so much to see and do here. The mountains themselves are just gorgeous and picturesque even when seeing them in the rain like we did. The hiking is also fantastic here and the Taggart Lake Trail and hike to Hidden Falls/Inspiration Point were ones we would do again tomorrow if we could. We ended up coming here just for one day on the tail end of a Glacier/Yellowstone trip and we will definitely be coming back just for Grand Teton. It's 100% worth it to visit and it's a place that will stay with you for a while!Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 February 2024
- Cynthia TSedona, Arizona19 contributionsSpectacular ViewsThe views here are spectacular. We took the 42 mile drive and stopped at every designated spot to get a view. It takes approximately 5 hours to do the entire drive with stops to take photos and be in awe. The scenery is awe inspiring. We saw bison and moose. The view of Mount Moran and Jackson Lake left me breathless. For me this was an experience of the splendor and power of nature and a reminder of how it feels to truly connect with the splendor of nature.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 July 2024
- EdwelshNorth Canton, Ohio7,156 contributionsOne of our favorite National ParksThere is just something about the Tetons that captivates me. It is dramatically scenic, not as crowded as Yellowstone and it’s more peaceful. We spent two full days exploring the area taking in the views and hoping for a peak of the wildlife. After taking the Aerial Tramway at Teton Village we entered the National Park at the South Entrance. We visited the Laurance S Rockefeller Preserve and the Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center, both very nice. We saw a moose at the moose pullout. We visited the Chapel of Transfiguration and the Chapel of Sacred Heart, both peaceful retreats. We floated down the picturesque winding Snake River on a Wild & Scenic Raft Trip. We enjoyed the well placed Turnouts & Overlooks. Visited the Jenny Lake area and stayed at Jackson Lake Lodge. Drove up Signal Mountain Rd and took in sunsets at Oxbow Bend.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 August 2024

That’s when the miracle happens: the lakes, the moose, the elk, the big birds, they are all their at the first sign of daylight. And don’t forget your camera! This review is not about the park it is about National Park Reservations who took my reservation for June 2021.
Due to the pandemic I could not go in June so I cancelled this reservation. I knew there was a 30$ cancellation fee what I did not read in the fine print was the 11 % of the room value added on for cancellation. I ended up paying $ 109.00 to cancel a reservation for June 2021.
If I booked directly to Jackson Lake Lodge I would not have been charged the extra $ 79.00.
Please be aware if you ever want to book at any National park in the US do not use National Park Reservations book directly with the hotel.

We stayed near the south entrance of Grand Teton National Park for four nights. Throughout our stay, we hiked Jenny Lake; drove the 42 mile scenic loop, Gros Ventre Road, Moose Wilson Road, and to the summit of Signal Mtn; checked out Morman Row, Chapel of Transfiguration, Colter Bay, and Menor's Ferry Historic Area; fished in various areas and at the Jackson National Fish hatchery. The fishing was not as good as we hoped considering the number of different places we tried. Nothing really takes more than a few hours so we probably could have stayed three nights and had plenty of time; though we didn't go to Teton Village. I would love to visit during the winter when the elk are down from higher elevation. The majority of the things I mentioned above are reviewed on their own. We found that Jackson is crazy busy in the evenings so we cooked out the entire time we were there. Restaurants weren't taking reservations at the time and we didn't want to spend hours waiting for a table.

We took a guided tour into Yellowstone from Jackson — spending a good hour driving through GTNP on the way up and back. This gave us some good baseline plans for our solo trip through GTNP the following day and a half with a rented vehicle. From one end to the other, we explored several scenic areas including Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake (our fave). We also ventured out to the Mormon Row Historic District to shoot some mountain range scenery with the historic rustic homestead dwellings in the foreground. There are scores of trailheads as well as official lodge visitor centers (with campgrounds etc). You can easily do several day-trips into GTNP from Jackson if you’re not camping.

Unfortunately, we only had a few hours to spend in Grand Teton National Park, but it is stunning. We drove the scenic loop and stopped to do a short walk at Jenny Lake and stopped at the iconic Mormon Row. It’s definitely a park we want to go back to and spend a lot more time at. The views are absolutely beautiful!

We spent 3 days and nights visiting the park...driving the park loop, visiting Jenny Lake, taking the shuttle boat and hiking to Hidden Falls and visiting Teton Village.
The Village wasn't very active at this time of year as it is more a ski resort but we enjoyed riding the gondola to the top of the mountain and seeing the view of the Tetons. All but one of the restaurants were closed in September.
The mountains are gorgeous and there are many pull-offs to enjoy the views and take pictures. You would think all of the views would be the same but each one was a bit different. It was interesting seeing the glaciers in the mountains.

Driving from Yellowstone to Jackson, we drove through Grand Teton National Park. When you start seeing the peaks of the Tetons, you know you are about to see something special. This has got to be the most beautiful scenery you will ever see. The height and majesty of the Teton Mountains to the crystal clear lakes is just breathtaking. If you find a place to sit with the Tetons and a lake in the background, you will want to sit there all day and just stare out at the beauty of our magnificent country.
We didn’t see as many animals as we did in Yellowstone but we did see our favorite pronghorns and buffalo, even an eagle in a tree.
Because our time was so limited, we went on a guided tour with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris. They did a great job and we saw things we ordinarily wouldn’t have know what to look for if we were on our own.
Be awed-inspired and visit The Grand Tetons.

We brought our e-bikes and biked the trail from Moose to Jenny Lake and it was so beautiful! Nice, paved path and gorgeous views the entire time! We had a senior park pass and I wish that there was a separate line for people with passes at the entrances. That would be a nice perk! There are some roads in the park that are paved partway and then turn to rutted dirt road, like the road to Schwabaker Landing. We loved driving to the top of Signal Mountain - probably the prettiest view we saw. Love the Tetons and look forward to coming back!

Definitely in our top, favorite national parks list. Trails a plenty with varying degrees of difficulty. If you're willing to visit early morning and late evening hours you can avoid most of the crowds. Although compared to Yellowstone, much less crowded. Early evening hours were great to see wildlife. The hike to Inspiration Point was a highlight, such amazing views.

Majestic scenery, each Teton made the whole panoramic view one you will never forget!
Nature at it's best. Unfortunately we were there during the West coast fires and even with all the smoke
(which cleared later in the day) it was amazing. Raft the Snake river is a must.

We will be spending the last few days of Sept. 2019 in the Jackson/Teton area. What will the weather be like? What about lodging at that time of year? I am a photographer; what will the "color" be like the final days of Sept.?

I guessing I need to make a reservation? I will be leaving Yellowstone August 16th and I want to stay the 16th - 18th at Grand Teton national park. Can you please advise me on who I need to contact?
Written 7 August 2016
