We had no illusions about getting away dry from this ride and enjoyed it three times in one day. We got on earlier in the day and had a wait of about an hour to get through but were happy to be cooled off. Then, more toward sundown, we went back and the line was 20 minutes. Came off and the line was non-existent and we ran through again a 3rd time. You never know who will get it the worst, but always assume that if you are sitting in one of the edge seats where people get in and out, you are more likely to be very wet. The rest is the chaos of how the raft spins and what side is heavier. Unlike the raft ride at a nearby park, the drops in this one definitely up the thrill factor. Half the fun was trying to avoid the splashes while watching the faces of other people on your raft get a good one in the back or down the legs.

You will get wet - a poncho or whatever wont save you as it also comes sweeping in at ankle level drenching your shoes.

But its a good, fun rapids ride with a couple of drops. Free lockers available for 2 hours. Ride broke down a couple of times whilst we were there.

Very disappointed in this ride. We were there for two days and the ride opened Ed and closed multiple times. Maybe this one needs to be brought down and revised and brought up to date. Looked like a lot of fun. Was very excited to go on it. The only one we didn’t do that we wanted to.

Warning- you will get wet no matter where you sit, It is just a matter of "how wet".

Fun ride-you climb into a circular raft that fits about eight. The raft takes you up until you hit a series of water falls and dips. Meanwhile the raft will move in circles as it hits certain areas so everyone is likely go over the falls backwards at least once. Depending on the weight in the raft more or less water will splash into the raft.

We (group of five-4 adults and one grandchild age eight) rode with three teenagers we had never met. This ride will cause everyone in the raft to interact and have a blast.

Suggestions: 1. Obviously, not a wonderful ride on a cold day or night. 2. Can get crowded, particularly on warm days, so use a max pass to avoid the lines. 3. If you really want to try to stay dry, where a poncho. 4. Try to keep your feet as high up on the center console as possible to avoid getting your shoes and socks soaked.

By all means, you must ride this attraction- I would have been happy to ride it continuously for half a day at least.

We rode this one so many times! You’ll get wet, but it is a blast. Our youngest was traumatized by Guardians of the Galaxy, but loved this!

I am generally NOT a big fan of water rides as I don't like to walk around a park soaking wet, but we bought a couple of ponchos and went for it. I'm glad we did. It's a fun ride with a nice storyline.

However there are a couple of big drops as well as geysers at the end so I think the chances of getting soaked on this ride are very high. As a matter of fact, I mentioned to the ride attendant that we were wearing ponchos because of getting soaked on Splash Mountain the day before and his response was "good idea - this one is much worse."

Looking at people getting off, I think that's true.

This ride was a lot of fun! I don't typically enjoy raft rides because I don't find them all that fun and you generally get soaked. Yes, we got pretty wet but there wasn't a lot of water coming from the top which was nice because usually it is your head that gets soaked. Keep your feet up and it's not bad. But this is actually a thrill ride because it has some good drops, moves and spins fast, and has a big drop at the end. It makes it worth getting wet.

The ride itself was fun when it was working. Got stopped on the climb up twice, and got stopped multiple times before drops to allow for rafts to get farther ahead. Don't think they timed it right. When we were moving it was fun.

Grizzly River Run is located in Grizzly Peak section of Disney California Adventure Park . The attraction's name comes from Grizzly Peak, the bear shaped mountain that the rapids flow around. Hop inside a circular 8-person raft and drift along a lazy river, passing the rusty remnants of an old mining company. Rumble along a 275-foot-long conveyor belt as you begin your gradual ascent up the mountain, taking in scenic views of the surrounding area. At the top, splash down amid a foaming spring and then brace yourself for a treacherous descent down Grizzly River. You will surely get splashed on this attraction—and you may even get soaked.

This ride is beautiful, and you get just enough water on your skin to cool down for a little bit, your not completely soaked, but I guess it depends on where you sit as well!
