I have stopped at a lot of these, and the Auburn visitor center is exceptionally good. A guide found Italian language brochures in the back room to take to my friends in Italy!

There is gold in them thar hills. Finding the treasures of any locale isn't always easy for first-timers. The Visitors Bureau is FULL of brochures and maps and friendly folks with lots of local tips and suggestions. I highly recommend this stop for locals too....More

Located centrally in Auburn. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There is every kind of brochure and map to fit your needs. Auburn is a great jumping off point to so many activities!

This is a great resource for information on what is going on in Auburn and the surrounding area, from Skiing, Wineries, Breweries, Live Music, Hikes, River Rafting.... they will have some info - it is headed up by a very knowledgeable lady and the staff...More

traveling north from Auburn to Grass Valley we viewed the sunrise coming up through the drift smoke of a forest fire in the mountains.. Stopping in the Lake of the Pines we saw the sun coming up.... Beautiful.
