Loved skiing the Highlands and enjoying free coffee by the ski racks, and hot cider/Clif bars on the lifts. WOW. The runs are so fun and the scenery is great. Really a fun mountain and lots of options for skiers of varying abilities.

The intermediate to advanced runs on this mountain are unbelievable because the mountain lets you off it so gradually that it builds in excellent intermediate runs that are wide, well groomed and fabulous to ski, but the need more signs so that you know where you are.

It snowed just before we arrived. There was some beautiful powder. Love the rollers on this mountain. We keep coming back!

We were at the Highlands for the bus ride to the Maroon Bells. We thought we'd have lunch before going back into town, so I went to Taqueria to get us some tacos. I could not believe what I got. Miniature tacos with no topping - just a dab of beef with no flavor. So I looked over the self-service... More

While Aspen Highlands has some beautiful buildings and scenery, other than being the departure point for the bus tour, it was truly a ghost town. In fact, the one eatery we found open for a late lunch closed up right after we left. I'm sure it's wonderful in the winter during ski season.

If you are going up to Maroon Bells, the bus from Aspen drops you here, a bunch of shops, a few eateries, a hotel and the welcome center where you buy your tickets for the bus to the Bells. It's a pleasant way station for a summer visit if you are in the area. Well maintained, pretty flowers, nice views.... More

This mountain is way hard or way too easy. When in the mood for a day of long and steep with killer views of Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells there is no better.

Great blues and blacks ! Outstanding views, the best mountain restaurant ever ( Cloud 9 bistro ), 3 restaurants at the base. fast chairlifts. Ritz Carton is the only hotel and also offers apres-ski. For the experts, the best : Highland Bow, a hikeup trail ( 35 minutes ) and an unforgetable variety of double blacks.\ Do not miss it.

Great mountain with lots of long runs. Well appointed with high speed lifts. Many people told us this is where the locals ski.

Had a great time on the mountain, with powder and sun. Small crowds and good terrain for off piste skiing. Go and hike the Aspen Highlands bowl ... it is quite a hike, but the views and the skiing down is great, especially when there is good powder :-)
