About
Back in the early 1900s, Had and Lou Deane were a colorful pair who raised cattle, horses, and a family on their rustic mountain ranch just outside of Aspen. Their parents and grandparents were Aspen’s founding fathers and earliest settlers. Today T-Lazy-7 is as busy as ever with the fourth and fifth generations of the Deanes running the ranch. Guests enjoy this mountain paradise for weddings and events, while recreational enthusiasts take part in snowmobile tours, horseback riding and fly fishing. T-Lazy-7 Ranch’s past is as rich as its future is bright, and we’re looking forward to many more years of wonderful mountain memories ahead.

- Kathleen G2 contributionsSnowmobile ExcursionOur family took a snowmobile excursion today at T Lazy 7 Ranch in Aspen. We had no prior experience. The 2 1/2 hour tour included lunch at the cozy cabin on property. It was awesome. My husband rode with one of our children on the back, I rode with another, and our third child rode with a guide. Aaron and Gabe led our group, one in the lead and one at the back. They were fantastic. Can’t recommend this outing enough. If you are looking for a fun family adventure in Aspen, add this to your list!Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 March 2023
- Andy G1 contributionCan’t wait to go backAmazing experience. A combination of trails and open land to let the snowmobiles fly made for a VERY fun tour. Caleb was not only informational, but a fun tour guide, making the whole experience worth every penny.Visited March 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 26 March 2023
- MartymakBradenton, Florida4 contributionsGreat tour Great guideGreat tour with a great guide. Thanks Elise and all. We did the Klondike cabin lunch tour. Wagyu burger was great. Couldn't see much with the thunder snow, but Elise gave a great spiel on the history of the area, the ranch, and the flora. Very FUN.Visited March 2023Written 27 March 2023
- Kelsey C1 contributionMarried at the base of the Bells!A truly unforgettable and GORGEOUS place to get married! We couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful backdrop than the TL7 for our wedding. With the beautiful mountains all around you, their ceremony meadow feels like a fairy tale. Plus, the ranch is at the base of the Maroon Bells! All guests from locals to out-of-towners who have never been to Aspen before will fall in love with the area. Highly recommend the lodge!! The TL7 has a fantastic team who is down to earth and so supportive of making the day as fun as it can possibly be.Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 16 August 2023
- Jami O1 contributionSo great I want to go back!I 1000% percent recommend the snowmobiling tour!! My daughter and I went this week and had a great time with Sadrian and Quentin as our guides to Maroon Belles. They were so very friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. We shared many laughs. And oh my gosh the scenery, GORGEOUS!! We love the history of the Deanes, and how much they want to protect natural beauty of Colorado/Aspen. Thank you T Lazy 7!!!!Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 December 2023
- Carol H1 contributionGreat fun!My husband and I greatly enjoyed going on a snowmobile tour with T-Lazy-7 Ranch! We rode together on a double snowmobile to view Maroon Bells. The guides were knowledgeable about the snowmobiles and shared tips for driving and riding. There was one guide in front of the group leading and another at the back to assist all riders. The guides shared interesting information and assisted with pictures along the tour as well. Great fun!Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 December 2023
- Erin P1 contributionAwesome adventure! The snowmobiling adventure to Maroon Bells was amazing! Sam was great guide and Brandon did a great job making sure we didn’t lose anyone! The views at the top were breathtaking. Got to see a momma and baby moose which was an added treat. We were first time snowmobilers and it was a great trip from start to stop!Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 December 2023
- christdaughterHouston, Texas88 contributionsA-M-A-Z-I-NG…. a must if you are in Aspen!!We have done a few snowmobiling tours in Tahoe and Breckenridge… but this by far is the BEST we have ever been on. We did the Maroon Bells tour and it was amazing! The tour guides were informative, and found a way to make it interactive. Loved hearing a lot of the history of just Aspen and nature. Once we got to Maroon Bells we had hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Had a blast and honestly our kids say this was the best part of our trip. Would definitely go back!!Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 December 2023

- Inspire315080Houston, Texas1 contributionTop Notch Snowmobile Tours! Our guides - Lindsay and Sam - were fantastic! Highly recommend T Lazy 7! They are the pros when it comes to snow mobile excursions in Aspen/Roaring Fork Valley. We have done various tours with them (Maroon Bells and lunch tour) and both were great. Both Lindsay and Sam were knowlegable, helpful and a delight. They helped us with photos and we enjoyed our time immensly!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 January 2024

While my family was thrilled about the idea, I'll admit that I was skeptical when booking this snowmobile tour. I thought we might be herded through some corny tourist activity meant to pacify the masses. Boy was I wrong!! This was one of our favorite days of the ski vacation!! From the initial two phone inquiries w/ the front desk to ask questions & make reservations (the ladies were so helpful & polite), the staff helping w/ equipment & orientation, the talented & knowledgeable Chef Andy, to our AMAZING GUIDES Lindsey & Aiden, we were blown away by everyone's thoughtfulness & positive, refreshing attitudes!! You can tell when people like their jobs & it makes a big difference! The snowmobiling was a SENSATIONAL!! The machines were in good shape & ran great! We had a group of (8) machines. The ride was a mix of wide, easy (sometimes fast!) snow covered roads to really fun narrow winding trails that took you through trees, over rivers, past amazing lookouts (where we learned so much valuable information about the area), & ended in a big open field (spoiler alert) where we went wild as we wanted too, racing each other & having a BLAST!! (Always felt safe & well supervised.) We opted for the log cabin lunch tour which is HIGHLY recommended as the views, wildlife, and delicious meal were all spectacular! We got to know everyone in our group while hanging out around the fire, eating home grown burgers & drinking hot cocoa. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience that my whole family would highly recommend to anyone looking to take a day off from skiing but not lose any sense of adventure & fun expected from a winter trip to Aspen!! And we are looking forward to going back again!!!

We did the snowmobile Klondike Lunch Tour with Sadrian (apologies if spelled wrong) as our guide. It was a great experience and our guide was awesome. The hamburgers served for lunch were top notch and our cook was also awesome. Would highly recommend for people looking to do something not involving skiing.

If you're indecisive about the price or even if it's a safe activity to do, DO IT!
This is a must-do if you go to Aspen. Staff is super friendly, and the tour is so much fun, would definitely do it again.
I usually don't write reviews but they really are the best.

Absolutely a must do. The scenery was stunning. We were not able to go to the Maroon Belles due to the weather but still experienced incredible views. The guides took us on some really fun trails and made sure we were all comfortable with the ride. Thank you so much to our guides who took amazing pictures that captured this incredible experience for us. Definitely will be back !

I highly recommend the Maroon Bells 2 hour snowmobile tour! We had the best time and learned a lot from our wonderful guides. Both guides were super informative and really fun. We were fortunate to have the most beautiful weather on the day of our tour so the views were off the charts! Don't think twice, this experience is worth the time and the money during your trip to Aspen. Go for it!

This was THE BEST tour! Our guides Sadrian and Quentin were fabulous. They were educational and also made this very fun experience. We had perfect weather and the four of us in the group were beginners but it was a breeze to learn and operate the snow mobiles. We did the 2 hour Maroon Bells tour and views were breathtaking! I would highly recommend doing this if you’re in Aspen area

The views were fantastic! Lindsey & Quintin were great, acting as both a guide/semi professional photographers. If you’re thinking about snowmobiling during your time in Aspen T-Lazy-7 Ranch is the way to go. They even have a nice little gift shop if you’re looking to get a souvenir.

Qué ropa se debe llevar para las moto nieve? somos 2 adultos y 2 niños, y qué edad se necesita para poder hacer el recorrido, mi niño menor tiene 8 años.
Y qué precios tienen?

Aspen is very expensive! The ranch will give each of you thermo jumpsuits but you need really warm clothing insulated boot, gloves and hoodies.
Yes I think 8 years is ok but I would call the The Ranch for pricing and ages of children.

Hi Angela, Are you an experienced rider? My husband and I are middle aged and am considering the 4 hour ride but am concerned it may be too much.... thanks for your feedback.

Hello, my name is Dora and not experienced rider, in fact my first time riding horse. I’m 56 and not in so good shape but was able to ride with ease. Horses are calm and 2 professional riders are always with you. we didn’t do the 4-hr ride, only 2 with lunch. Hope that helps!

Which ride did you take, and how long was it? I haven't been on a horse in years and my husband very rarely, I'd like to do a fairly long ride but is it ok for a beginner? Thanks

My wife and I did the 2-hour trail ride (horse). Neither of us are horse people. The trail was sporty (I wouldn’t have wanted to walk it or try to ride it on a mountain bike), but the horses did great. They will ask about your experience level and try to line you up with an appropriate horse. It was a great thing to do in the Aspen area. Check my review (BLT1991) for other tips about the ride.
