We were fortunate to have a quick 40 minutes of sunshine while hiking this most spectacular of venues. Worth the effort...a MUST visit for all!

The bus ride, with the driver’s guidance itself was worthwhile. The mountains are magnificent. We were there at foliage time and the aspen trees were sensational.

This has been on my bucket list since my daughter moved to Boulder 5 years ago so we flew into Denver, picked her up and headed to Aspen for a Colorado road trip! We chose to first drive up after 5PM on a Sunday where...More

Incredibly scenic hike! The reflection off the lakes is mesmerizing. Get there early or take the shuttle. The parking area is very small.

Breathtaking view of the maroon hill and the lake ! The drive by the RFTA bus was enjoyable and informative. Be careful to go early before 8 if you want to go the full park by car. Otherwise the bus ride is $8 for adults...More

Incredible must see location. Bus is $8 from Aspen Highlands and is fast and comfortable. The maroon bells and lake are just beautiful. Easy hike with plenty of photo ops and time to take in the stunning surroundings.

Great sites to see on a bike ride. Start at the lake and go toward town so the ride is downhill. Very steep uphill.

We chose to drive here instead of taking the bus from Aspen Highlands to the Bells. It was an easy drive. While the Maroon Bells are touted as the most photographed place in Colorado, pictures simply don’t do the peaks justice. A reflective lake and...More

Any time of year is great to visit the Maroon Bells. The Bells are majestic and magical. Chances are in mid October most of the fall colors will be gone. I suggest that you keep the Maroon Bells as a destination on your... More

Peak weekends in September for viewing fall foliage are 9/15-9/16, 9/22-9/23, 9/29-9/30. I was there in August though and it was still beautiful. The road for the bus usually closes in mid-November.
