The Bells have to be seen. It's just so perfectly picturesque. With that said, if mountains were at the mall this would be the experience. PEOPLE PEOPLE and more PEOPLE. They just keep coming. If you want a semi-solitude experience you must arrive prior to 8am or after 5pm. We backpacked west maroon pass and the trail was also quite... More

You absolutely cannot take a bad picture here! It is postcard material, even if it's just a pic with your phone. Must go early during the summer months if you want to drive there. Otherwise you must take a bus there from town. We only stopped for a little while early in the morning to get a few amazing pictures.... More

Drove to maroon bells from the hotel Jerome in their courtesy Mercedes to be amazed at the beauty of this spot. Not many tourists in the mud season to share it with which was great

Took a day off from skiing in Snowmass and drove to maroon bells. The drive itself was worth the trip , snow covered mountains , pine trees, beautiful houses, once you arrive you are stunned by the beauty and tranquility of the place

Visited Maroon Bells in late September, the peak season for viewing the beautiful golden color the aspen trees changed to during this time. It was very crowded. The paid parking at the Aspen Highlands was full so we had to find roadside parking. The shuttle ride to Maroon Lake from Aspen Highlands cost $8 per ticket and the driver gave... More

Hiking for all levels -- you can go for a short hike that just about anyone can manage or go as far as you possibly can - some of Colorado's best scenery -- You have to arrange to take a bus

Visited the Bells 3 times while visiting Aspen. The weather didn't cooperate but I did manage to get a few good pics. Beautiful to see the mountains in person.

We decided to drive up to Aspen from Denver to see Maroon Bells. We missed the peak color but it was still a beautiful hike!

One of the great things of Maroon Bells is that you do not need to be on the best shape to see the first lake, which happens to be one of the most photographed peaks in the country. You can get there during summer time on the city bus which is around $7 per person between 8am to 5pm. If... More
